Outline:
The Creative Way supported the development of Foundation Degree (FdA) promotional materials, which highlight the benefits of progressing into Higher Education through this alternative route. The relevance of work based learning, and the career opportunities arising from such training, are explored in a DVD which will be available as the project concludes in Spring 2010. Partnerships have been developed with a variety of industry partners, offering brilliant work placement in the local area. Students’ experiences and aspirations are documented, illustrating their time working with employers such as The Royal Opera House and Hand & Lock Embroidery Company.
The course will suit a variety of people, particularly those who are: Returning to work after a break; are in work and want to further their prospects; are unemployed and looking for a way into work; or have recently completed studies, such as A levels, BTEC or NVQ level 3 and are looking for a work related qualification, with the option to complete the final stage of a BA (Hons) Programme.
