Outline:
Through partnership working, this project aimed to develop a shared understanding of the requirements for progression to HE in the filed of musical theatre.
Prior to project start-up, progression agreements were drawn up to promote recognised and viable progression pathways for students studying vocational programmes in Performing Arts at level 3 (in each of the identified partner colleges) to progress to Trinity Laban’s Foundation degree (FdA) in Musical Theatre: Performance. These progression pathways were nurtured through analysis of the curriculum being studied at level 3 in each partner institution, with each partner receiving a student workshop focused on developing audition readiness. The project also saw the development of a new valuable IAG resource for musical theatre training.
