Outline:
East 15 Technical Theatre staff invited performing arts teams to visit the Hatfield campus in Loughton, where activities and exhibitions illustrated the learning of the HE students. Reciprocal visits provided an understanding of the differences in curriculum content at L3, and established the extent to which each course prepared students for progression to the HE programme at East 15.
Close curriculum matches through teaching and learning alignment were sought, and additional activities were offered to support a successful transition to HE. East 15 aimed to organise IAG events with L2 and L3 students, to raise awareness of the employment possibilities that open up through successful completion of the HE programme.
The project report discusses the challenges and benefits of these events and partnerships. It illustrates the process and experiences of the previous year, and raises important questions around the need for formal Progression Agreements.
