Outline:
The University of Kent offers a unique degree course: ‘Creative Events: Design and Production, which covers all aspects of events production, from large scale extravaganzas to detailed mask work.

Creative Way project funding supported the development of a DVD (see attached link), which offers information about careers in this exciting and demanding area of arts and entertainment - a visual feast of opportunities in this newly emerging sector.

Interviews with recent graduates and industry practitioners provide insights into the course experience and professional practice. Footage includes the work of Strange Cargo, Artichoke Productions, The World Famous, Royal de Luxe's 'The Sultan's Elephant', Arts Council England, M-is, and Olympic TV & film coverage.

This is a resource for all students and staff of performing arts, stage management, design, fine art, technical theatre and related fields.... an inspiring introduction to celebratory and outdoor arts, and creative events.

DVDs are available from Gavin Carver.
