The aesthetic techniques, practicality and creativity used in design combine to improve our lives. Design contributes £6.3billion to the UK economy and employs more than 180,000 people, of which 34% are self employed.
Those working in the 3D design sector are often involved in making as well as designing and have craft-based skills and knowledge of relevant materials.
