Architectural Studies is aimed at students who are interested in architecture, urbanism and spatial design but who do not intend to become practicing architects, spatial artists or interior designers. It combines an introduction to architectural design education with the exploration of related subjects both academically and creatively. This includes a range of optional modules that allow you to build your own course, culminating in a design and environment-related project. Currently the Department supports four key areas: Architectural and urban history, theory and culture, contemporary architectural technologies, spatial arts and urban regeneration, architectural and design practice.
