BA (Hons) Creative Arts for Theatre & Film equips you with the creative and technical skills needed to deliver powerful and stimulating productions on stage and screen. The course develops your understanding and insight into the production processes that support drama and performance in theatre, TV and film, developing specialist craft skills for your chosen career direction.

Areas of study include:

Special effects
Props and modelmaking
Production management
Music and audio
Lighting
Scenic art and scenic construction
Costume realisation
Creative collaboration
Perception and drawing.
Using a wide variety of materials and processes the course encourages you to develop high level skills for the production of props, scenic art and costume.
You will work on project briefs set to industry standards and have opportunities to learn from visiting industry practitioners.

Our experienced course tutors encourage you to engage fully in the creative process and to develop the professionalism that is demanded by the thriving and fast-moving production industry. This course aims to prepare you for a career working on the production of theatre and film and has strong links with professional production studios that help us to deliver professional, challenging, exciting and rewarding studies.
