In the run-up to the 2012 Olympics here in London what better subject to study than Events Management and what better place to study than Greenwich, where some of the Olympic activities will be taking place?

From conferences, exhibitions and large scale sporting events through to charity and live music events, the programme looks at all the aspects of events management needed for a successful career in this rapidly growing area.

The programme has been developed in close consultation with industry to provide a practical and hands on experience of events. In year 1 students attend and evaluate five different events. In year 2 students develop the "people skills" so important in this dynamic business and in year 3 students apply their collective learning and experience to the design, development and production of their own live event.
