This one year top-up degree enables you to acquire the technical knowledge and professional skills necessary to enter the broadcasting industry at graduate level. You will focus on one of four specialist broadcasting areas: Audio, Computing, Systems or Outside Broadcast.

Designed primarily as a progression route from our range of broadcasting Foundation Degrees, or equivalent courses, this top-up offers you the opportunity to develop practical skills into professional skills in your particular broadcasting specialism. Your units and engineering project will be distinctive and focused on your chosen career path.

Broadcasting professionals rarely work in isolation, so you will work alongside students from related courses in a multidisciplinary environment, learning about managing both people and projects.

Upon graduation, you will be able to show an in-depth knowledge of your specialist broadcast area, plus have transferable skills in technological and theoretical concepts, research and analysis, problem solving and collaboration.
You will be an engineer who can design and support equipment and systems used in your area of the broadcasting profession.
