Creative technology is an area where digital technology is impacting in the arts, leisure, education and entertainment fields and specialises in subjects like web design, graphics, animation, video, audio and music. The course provides opportunities to create digital content and pre-production techniques, including scriptwriting, design, storyboard and layout work, interactive design and production management, particularly in areas of business skills and budgeting. In addition, there is an industrial work placement where students can gain the practical and applied skills together with the communication and people skills necessary for a successful career.

Course structure

Two levels, each of 120 credits. You will also undertake a work placement for a minimum of 60 days.

Advanced Authoring (Multimedia Pathway)

A Progression Agreement is a formal arrangement between two or more education providers. It spells out what a learner needs to do to be considered for a place on a named programme of study. Progression Agreements may vary in the conditions they specify but they all aim to give guaranteed pathways into higher education.
