The HND first year involves 6 mandatory core units and 4 options:

In year two, 6 option units are taken, allowing students to choose specialist areas.
Students who enjoy visual problem solving and idea generation. You need to be creative and well motivated with flair and enthusiasm for design. You want a career in graphics, advertising, typography or illustration and you are keen to build a first class portfolio of work to demonstrate your skills.
You want a high level qualification thats recognised in the UK and abroad.

Industry related design briefs are offered and your HND assessment work is exhibited at our end of year summer show.
BTEC ND or GNVQ Advanced, usually in an art/design related subject or BTEC Diploma Foundation in Art & Design. Two relevant A level passes or appropriate commercial experience. Selection is by interview and appraisal of your portfolio of art and design work.

A Progression Agreement is a formal arrangement between two or more
education providers. It spells out what a learner needs to do to be
considered for a place on a named programme of study. Progression Agreements
may vary in the conditions they specify but they all aim to give guaranteed
pathways into higher education.
