You are encouraged to take an experimental and individual approach to traditional embroidery, whilst developing the skills required to produce work to the Royal School of Needlework standard.
You also have the opportunity to study the historical contexts of traditional techniques through access to the RSN's own collection of historical textiles.
You gain a sound understanding and knowledge of hand embroidery whilst developing the design and making skills necessary to prepare you for a career in the textile and fashion industries.
