The first MA in Ethical Fashion in the UK enables students to engage in the current vigorous debates around the ethics of the fashion industry, exploring the potential for the industry to evolve and to positively impact on developing economies and the lives of those working in global supply chains. Subjects include the role of corporate social responsibility in the fashion business; eco-fashion, recycling & the management of natural resources; sustainable strategies for production of textiles; globalism and localism; impact of trends in production & consumption; the marketing and communication of ethics in fashion and the role of the consumer in ethical fashion.
This new and unique course is at the centre of tomorrow's developments in the industry and offers options to develop research in one of these areas or approach them through your own fashion or other critical practice. Applications are invited from a range of disciplines and students will have the opportunity to work collaboratively or individually.
Applicants should have good analytical skills and students wishing to pursue a practice based pathway should be able to demonstrate mature design skills acquired at degree level.

A Progression Agreement is a formal arrangement between two or more
education providers. It spells out what a learner needs to do to be
considered for a place on a named programme of study. Progression Agreements
may vary in the conditions they specify but they all aim to give guaranteed
pathways into higher education.
