This specialism builds on the strengths of the British fashion industry, but situates it within the global market, where creative outsourcing, the complex transport of materials and commodities, and a variety of management cultures across the globe provide growing opportunities for our cohort of international post-graduates.
If you are looking to run a successful production company and manage a profitable fashion business then you should consider planning a personal project within this specialism. In co-operation with colleagues on the new MBA in Creative Industries Management, the course team assists students in developing production and business strategies to innovate structures and methods within fashion.
The production of clothes and accessories has changed to include new material solutions and technical facilities that arise from within fashion (like the new Gerber machines at Rochester) but equally by adopting ideas from other fields of design (novel CAD solutions or digital presentations, for example).
