MA Interior Design enables you to develop an individual approach to spatial design within a stimulating, creative and supportive environment. The postgraduate course provides a launch pad to a higher level interior design career for a diverse range of subjects, such as museum and exhibition design, visitor centre development, event production, design for film and TV, digital games and brand interpretation for retail, leisure or promotional venues.
Through a focus on the articulation of space and the significance of semiotics, you have the opportunity to build on skills acquired through your first degree to explore your area of interest to an advanced level. In-depth research into current design processes and technologies and a focus on related work placements provide you with an opportunity to enhance your career prospects and aspirations.
Project work is supported by ongoing staff research into architecture and design related digital technologies, experiential environments and brand communication. A diverse range of case study material has also been developed by the course to support the MA in the form of a digital archive.
Opportunities to translate theory into practice are sought through live projects, research analysis and feasibility studies and draw upon the course's wide range of contacts and associations. Work placements are actively encouraged particularly where they support the objectives of your project proposal and future direction.

A Progression Agreement is a formal arrangement between two or more
education providers. It spells out what a learner needs to do to be
considered for a place on a named programme of study. Progression Agreements
may vary in the conditions they specify but they all aim to give guaranteed
pathways into higher education.
